# Overlayer

> Overlayer is a non-custodial protocol that turns stablecoins into overlaid assets: the same stable exposure, with opt-in on-chain yield. Overlayer doesn't change what stablecoins are — it changes how stable capital behaves.

Overlaid assets (T+, C+, G+, GH+) are minted 1:1 against their underlying stablecoin (USDT, USDC, USDG, GHO). Base overlaid assets are non-rebasing and remain usable across DeFi; yield exposure activates only through staking and depends on realized on-chain returns. Mint and redeem are instant and fully on-chain, with no off-chain execution and no leverage.
